If you are considering a garden room, insulation should be one of your top priorities. In the winter, an insulated garden room can provide you with a much-needed cosy retreat, perfect for that comfy office space or yoga studio you have always dreamed of.

What Makes An Insulated Garden Room?

An insulated garden room is designed to be used all year round, keeping you cool in the summer and warm and snug in the winter. With an insulated garden room, you get a versatile space that you can use for all sorts of activities and projects.

To keep a garden room insulated, various parts of the building must be considered. For example, double-glazed windows and doors are a must. These not only keep the heat in but can also work on soundproofing the space. At Little Green Rooms, we use double-glazed FSC timber windows and doors to insulate your space and ensure it is stylish and sustainable at the same time. Using FSC-certified timber means that for every tree cut down, five trees will be planted in their place.

Part of our promise is to make your garden room toasty in the winter months. We also know that energy efficiency during this time is as important to you as it is to us. Not only as a measure of necessity in some cases but as a conscious decision to only use what you need in today’s climate.

In a time of uncertainty, we have considered all the small details to ensure that when you step out of the door into the garden each morning, your garden room is an easy and efficient place to be.

What Are The Benefits Of An Insulated Garden Room?

With an insulated garden room, you are free to turn your space into whatever you want it to be and are not limited by changing seasons and uncertain weather conditions. This makes them extremely adaptable little places!

Having an insulated garden room will save you money in the long run. With more heat being stored inside the building, it will stay warmer for longer (and so will you). You will also use less energy running the wall heater as it won’t have to be on for extended periods of time.

What’s more, an insulated garden room comes with benefits in the summer. Just as the space will stay warmer in the winter, as the seasons change, it will also keep cool. You will have a room that can truly be enjoyed all year round.

Energy Saving Points

Let the sun in during the day. All of our floor-to-ceiling windows are fitted with argon-filled double glazing. Providing excellent insulation and allowing the sun to naturally heat your workspace.

Close the curtains at night. All of our workrooms come with luxury 100% recycled handmade curtains, they come with an extra thick thermal interlining to keep these cold nights out of your office and retain the heat from the day and your wall-mounted radiator.

Turn your thermostat down when no one is home (or only in the garden). Our premium wifi controlled wall heater can be paired with an easy-to-use app. This means you can control the thermostat and temperature of your insulated garden room and set the heater to go on and off according to your schedule.

What Can You Use Your Insulated Garden Room For?

An insulated garden room can have a range of uses. There is no right or wrong use! It is a functional, sustainable solution to space issues you may be currently having in your house and offers the perfect retreat from busy, everyday life.

You can finally give your hobbies and ideas space to flourish and grow. An insulated garden room can be home to that music studio that you have always planned on creating, where you are free to play the drums without having anyone there to disturb you or to complain that you are being too loud!

We all know that working from home has a wide variety of benefits. However, when you live, sleep, eat, and work in the same house, it can become exhausting. Having an insulated garden office can provide you with much-needed separate space. A dedicated office room can help you be more productive and maintain a better work-life balance (all while remaining close to home). Having a garden office is also cheaper than renting office space in the long run.

Finally, why not turn your insulated garden room into a home cinema or snug? Customise your space to make it personal to you and your family, and invite friends over to escape to the end of your garden to watch a film. The multi-purpose nature of an insulated garden room means that you can also transform your room into an entertaining area in the summer.
